The chapter
After Baba’s passing, the Tarkhad family learned that a member of the family had received relief from an asthma attack after taking Baba’s Udi. When they returned home to offer thanks, they found the portrait in the sandalwood Mandir hanging at an angle.
Later that same day, a messenger arrived with news that Baba had taken Mahanirvana in Shirdi. The family connected the sudden recovery and the displaced portrait with Baba’s way of communicating across the distance between Shirdi and Mumbai.
The chapter understands this not as an end to Baba’s presence, but as a sign of the promise that He would remain available to devotees after leaving the physical body.
